Ice Diamonds

Like soft angel hair caught on gnarled twigs & hedges,
With ice-diamonds scattered by cherubs on sledges.
Listen intently, hear the squeals of delight,
As they dance, prance & play, unseen, in the light,
Twirling & swirling, red cheeks all aglow,

Little cold toes, at one with the snow,
Tiny, ice footprints making their mark,
Hurry home safe, Sprites, it soon will be dark!
Don’t you forget to gather all that’s bright,
Then fly off on unicorns into the night!
