One Step

One Step

What does it feel like to step on a cloud,
Treading soft, fluffy pillows without any sound?

Can you perceive how to float up on high,
Fast orbit the moon & fly through the sky?

What sort of magic spell sets you so free,
To dance with the raindrops & capture the breeze?

What kind of alchemy lets you take flight,
To polish the rainbows with radiant light?

What type of dreamscape can promise this day,
See lightning bolts thunder, where tornadoes play?

How can this spellbinding vision be true?
All that it takes is one step from you!

11th February 2019

When it rains, the puddles on this lane can be huge! Once the rain stops & there are epic skies reflected in them, the results are magical..just like you’re about to step on a cloud!

Again an inspiring poem. Love the pictures and the inspiration behind the words themselves. Keep up the good work.

Hello Debbie, very nice to meet you.
I love your poem and I’m so pleased you finally came ‘clean’ about The Secret Poet.
I read your About page but couldn’t find a Like button.

Hello Sue, lovely to meet you too, & thank you very much for your interest! Yes, poor Trev, I never gave it a thought that he’d think I was ‘playing away’ whilst I was hatching ideas, I was only playing with words. I’ve told him about the Like button, so he’s on the case! Thank you very much for your kind words, which are much appreciated.

I thought that was funny, poor Trev!

I know..we do have a little laugh about the fact that I often meet & have a chat with the local farmers, when I’m out walking, but they’re all well over 70, confirmed bachelors, & one is happily married to a vicar! Any shenanigans would be such a scandal in the village!

            Village life eh!

I’m looking forward to reading your poems in the coming days. I’m just trying to catch up with messages, after being away for a few days with hardly any internet connection.
