The River Lugg

The River Lugg runs wild and free,
Splashing sounds in symphony,
Gracefully swirling bank-edged bends,
A confluence of nature, dives and wends.
Leaping & skipping through vale and hill,
Over rock and boulder, no keeping still!

Waterlogged trees grasp dampened ledge,
Mesmerised, they bow their heads.
A whirling dervish, a liquid lane,
A never-ending aqua chain.
I love to see it ebb & flow, Winding its way through Llangunllo!
